Our clocks “fall back” on Sunday morning. So darkness will come even earlier — making it even more important that you are visible when out walking, running or biking.
So join the WWBPA’s campaign to #TagThatBag.
Add something reflective to your backpack to make yourself bright at night: a reflective tag or a reflective sticker. No backpack? How about a reflective tag on your jacket zipper?
The WWBPA braved the WW-P High School North lunch hour on Wednesday and together with the PTSA handed out reflective backpack tags to nearly 200 students who stopped by our table and offered their ideas on how to be visible at night.
Should we come to your child’s school too?
That’s not all we’ve been up to. On Saturday we handed out reflective stickers at the West Windsor Farmers Market as the prize for our regular “Spin the Wheel.” Those stickers go on Halloween candy bags to help you spot little ones darting across the street.
Remember, just because you can see a car’s headlights doesn’t mean that the driver sees you. In fact, drivers first see someone wearing blue at night when they are just 55 feet away. But drivers can spot someone wearing reflective gear up to 500 feet away.

We sold vests and other safety items below cost to those who stopped by First Presbyterian Church of Hightstown’s regular food pantry on Monday.
