That short 30 mph section on Alexander Road in Berrien City will soon be no more.
West Windsor’s Council recently voted to make the entire section of the road from Princeton Hightstown Road (County Road 571) to Wallace Road (by the train station) a 25 mph zone, with the lower speed limit remaining by the speed table at Scott Avenue.
This is something that Berrien City residents had been seeking and was supported by the WWBPA. It comes several months after the township installed “your speed is” signs to help remind drivers of the speed limit. Last year Mercer County lowered speed limits on sections of Old Trenton Road and Clarksville Road.
We hear concerns about speeding from many residents. Do your part to keep West Windsor safe by slowing down. The few seconds you save aren’t worth it.
