It’s a reminder to drivers to give 4 feet when passing people on the road — whether they are on bikes, running or walking.
It’s the law! (And if you can’t give 4 feet, slow down and wait until you can — also the law.)
78 of these signs are going up all over Mercer County thanks to a project spearheaded by the WWBPA.
We paid for signs on West Windsor and Mercer County roads in West Windsor while our partners — the Princeton Free Wheelers, Greater Mercer Transportation Management Association and Sourland Cycles — funded signs on Mercer County roads outside West Windsor. We all also suggested locations for the signs.
Installation is being handled by West Windsor Department of Public Works and the Mercer County Department of Transportation. We thank our government partners; it couldn’t have happened without their support.
