The West Windsor Bicycle and Pedestrian Alliance is doing its annual group walk to mark the first day of West Windsor’s weekly farmers markets on Saturday, May 3.
Our starting point is Duck Pond Park on Meadow Road. Parking is plentiful for those who want to start with us. Or join along the way — we will pick up walkers as we head to the market along Bear Brook Road and its wide path.
For those joining us at Duck Pond Park, please begin checking in at 8:45 a.m. so we can start walking at 9 a.m.
The distance to the farmers market from Duck Pond Park is 1.8 miles.
All families will receive the WWBPA’s bicycle and walking map of West Windsor as well as a ticket for a drawing of $5 Market Bucks (three winners will be selected at the WWBPA table at the market). If you join along the way, look for the person with the sign-in clipboard to claim your map and ticket.
This walk is open to all. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
Pickup points:
- Ascot Crescent and Bear Brook Road (the first time the roads meet): no earlier than 9:10 a.m.
- Ascot Crescent and Bear Brook Road (the second time the roads meet): no earlier than 9:13 a.m.
- Greylynne Drive and Bear Brook Road: no earlier than 9:18 a.m.
- Winthrop Way and Bear Brook Road: no earlier than 9:20 a.m.
- Opposite Windsor Haven Drive and Bear Brook Road (the first time the roads meet): no earlier than 9:26 a.m.
- Bear Brook roundabout and Goldfinch Boulevard: no earlier than 9:30 a.m.
- We aim to be at the farmers market no earlier than 9:40 a.m.
NOTE: We will not have a group walk back to Duck Pond Park. Head back on your own after you’ve finished shopping, chatting and listening to music.
