Mercer County’s long-awaited redesign of part of Princeton Hightstown Road/County Road 571 is finally moving forward.
A public information session to give everyone a look at what’s envisioned for the 0.7-mile section from Cranbury/Wallace roads (near the train station) to Clarksville Road (by High School South) will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at the West Windsor Municipal Center. Come anytime during those two hours to look at the plans and ask questions.
The WWBPA has offered some input into the plan, which is supposed to establish a “Main Street” feel for our community. It will include more sidewalks and bicycle-friendly improvements, center turn lanes and other changes — but no additional through travel lanes.
The construction timeline has not been set, but the work will be done in two phases. More details, including some drawings, are here.
