As the clocks fell back in November, the West Windsor Bicycle and Pedestrian Alliance’s student advisors who attend WW-P High School South passed out reflective stickers depicting – what else? – the HSS pirate.
These stickers were a big hit, with all 500 snapped up by students, teachers and staff members. While some ended up on laptops and water bottles, we were especially pleased to see those that were stuck on backpacks to make students more visible early in the morning, at dusk and at night.
This effort was led by Aanya Jain, Ananya Gokhale and Reetika Raskonda, with some help from Aaryan Chowdhury. They and other student advisors are talking with other WW-P school principals about doing something similar for their students.
Special thanks to South Principal Jessica Cincotta for helping to organize the event and the South PTSA, which paid for the stickers.
