How far is it from the tip of the Trolley Line Trail at Rabbit Hill Road down to Mercer Lake and Caspersen Rowing Center? New signs along the Trolley Line Trail and beyond will tell you — and show you the way.
The 18 signs, paid for by WWBPA members through their annual membership donations, showcase that walking and biking route as well as one between Community Park and the east entrance of Mercer County Park. They include the distance to many points along the way, including Waterworks. Yes, we hope this gets more people walking and biking to the pool!
Installation was handled by West Windsor’s Department of Public Works and, in two cases, by the Mercer County Park Commission. We also thank Mayor Marathe and the West Windsor Engineering Department for their support, plus of course our members.

Not only are these signs aimed at both cyclists and walkers, as our regular Tuesday walking group saw this week, but we believe they help meet one of those goals in the township’s master plan: attractive wayfinding signage. Definitely more informative than a simple “bike route” sign!
We’re posting photos of this project to our Facebook page; how about adding one of you next to one of the signs?
Finally, help us build on this signage project! Email us your suggestions (routes should be both walkable and bikeable). And if you’re receiving this email but aren’t a member of the WWBPA, please consider becoming one so we can afford to buy more signs.
